Pros and cons of adidas Train & Run app for iPhone and iPad

adidas Train & Run app good for

There are a lot of things to like in this app. If you have a non adidas cardio it should still work if you select the Bluetooth micoach smart. It does for me with a wahoo belt. Overall: - free and very good training programs, customized for the date of your race, and the trainings are using your HR as point of reference (or speed if you prefer) - in terms of ergonomics, the app has improved a lot. Its clear and pleasant to use. Train and run is a good app for who wants to prepare without too much fuss, with a good program based on your heart rate so you don’t overdo it. Ive run my first marathon in 3:47 and am now aiming at 3:30 for my second one. Happy running.
The coach feature is very good, u could just improve the social features such strava app
Great app! Great training plans, specifically designed for each sport or goal. Excellent support. I had an issue with the HRM strap after years of use and Adidas sent me new one free of charge
5weeks in to a marathon plan and loving the coaching with Fit Smart!
I just love it. Ive used freeletics app, but the amount of ads was so annoying, that I was looking for alternatives. I like the idea with zones and free coaching to the desired goal. My first 5km in 30 minutes just in 7 weeks. Just amazing. 5 stars
This tool made me achieve goals I never thought were possible for me. I recommend it, especially to people who do not think they can run. You actually can, and this tool will help prove it!!

Some bad moments

After the last update the GPS tracking isn’t working properly. It tracks for the first 5 mins autonomously then stops until you poke it again. Not an issue of GPS coverage, I’m running outside, in Paris. The previous version of the app was ok. In my case, since I only touched my iPhone before beginning the run and while ending it, the tracking shows I took 35 mins to run 50 meters instead of 7km. Please update it. Switching to another app in the meantime.
Still no support for the Apple Watch and the iOS Health app. Far behind other fitness tracking apps.
I tried the version for Windows Phone 8, and Wow! Really beautiful. This version for iPhone, is at least a year behind in term of design. But the account sync works well.
Requires registration and submitting personal data, you cant just use the app with the hardware without going through that process. Even after registration, it has to download voice data before you get into the app. Should be able to open it and start without having all the server interaction, then opt in if you want extra MB coming across your data connection. Poorly thought through.
Cant figure out how to use it. I guess its not user friendly! Lack of info! Lack of accessing music and parameters! Can name 7 other better apps.
Buggy and difficult to use. Wish I could go back to the previous version.
